SHOCKED TO DEATH: Four-Year-Old Girl Zapped By Fallen Power Line
A four-year-old girl was zapped to death in a freak accident when an overhead power cable fell on her while she was playing.
Tragic Livia Maria Xavier de Silva had been playing outside her grandparents’ house in Campina Grande, Paraiba state, Brazil, on 5th July.
According to reports, the young victim was playing on the street outside her grandparent’s house when she was killed by the fallen power cable.
The antenna of a telecommunications company reportedly collapsed onto the high-voltage power line that was then sent tumbling to where the girl was playing.

The granddad, named Antonio Xavier, told local media: “When we arrived at the scene, she was lying on the ground with the cable under her arm.
“My grandson, who was completely distraught, took a wooden stake and threw it on the cable.
“When he threw it, the cable came loose from her arm.”
He added: “She outstretched her arm and even opened her eyes, and we just hugged her.”
The emergency services arrived on the scene and the girl was taken to the Luiz Gonzaga Fernandes Emergency and Trauma Hospital in Campina Grande, but died on the way.
