Shoalwater Bay Training Area, QLD, Australia

US Army Defence units working together with Australian Defence Force counterparts managed to complete the first-ever Patriot surface-to-air missile firing during Talisman Sabre 21 exercise.

The army exercise took place in Shoalwater Bay Training Area in Queensland, Australia on the 17th of July.

Australian and US Forces combine biennially for the Talisman Sabre exercise, which is a month-long multi-domain exercise that strengthens allied and partner capabilities to respond to the full range of Indo-Pacific security concerns supporting the Indo-Pacific initiative for open and free relationships in the region.

The exercise happening all across Queensland includes logistic activities, urban operations, amphibious landings, ground force manoeuvres air combat and maritime operations.
