This is the moment a US cop Burns the top of his head and the other burns his hands while saving two dogs trapped close to a fierce trailer blaze.

The trailer fire took place in the city of Metter in Candler County in the US state of Georgia on 24th July.

The Candler County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement: “Deputies responded to a fire call this afternoon. Deputy Coursey and Captain O’Brien assisted the firefighters from Metter Fire Rescue in fighting this fire. Deputies discovered a couple of four-legged friends that needed to be freed and moved away from the fire. Great job guys!”

The two cops were assisting Metter firefighters with the blaze when they heard two dogs barking in the distance.

As seen in the footage, officers ran towards the fire carrying bolt cutters where they found one dog chained up and another inside a metal cage both near the blaze.

One cop said “hot, hot, hot” as he approached the flames.

The police officer with the bolt cutters first tried them on the collar and then on the chain before finally giving up and undoing the collar in order to free the hound.

They then turned their attention to the other dog that was trapped inside a cage that was so hot one of the officers burned his hand as he tried to move it.

The dog was freed when another officer used wire cutters to grab the cage.

The police said that both dogs appeared grateful and wagged their tails as they ran from the blaze.

It is unclear if anyone was living in the trailer or if it was only used for storage.
