Astonished wildlife fans have declared footage of a pure white fox a sacred spirit after it emerged on social media.

Footage of the find in Dalian, Liaoning Province, northeast China appeared on Douyin, China’s version of TikTok.

The footage shows a fox with a sleek, white coat and what seem to be dark lines across its brow.

The animal seems untroubled by being watched and filmed and at times seems to come closer to the camera.

The video clocked up 27,000 likes and more than 3,000 comments, most of which said that the gracious fox must actually be a fairy spirit, given her incredible look.

The woman captioned the video by saying she hopes that this encounter means she will experience plenty of luck in the future.

Foxes in Chinese mythology are considered to be omens of powerful events.

She replied to one of her follower’s comments stating the fox looks like “the reincarnation of a beautiful woman”.
