Adorable Fox Cub Put Up For Sale On Second Hand Website Rescued By Spanish Cops

This is the moment Spanish cops play with an adorable little fox that they rescued after they found a hunter who caught the little cub was advertising it for sale online for EUR 550.

The one-month-old cub was rescued by the Spanish National Police in the town of El Pinos which is located on the Costa Blanca in the Spanish province of Alicante earlier this month (6th April).

In the footage released by the Spanish police, the cops can be seen cradling the little cub and letting it run around its temporary enclosure.

Local media news outlet Nius Diario reports the cops have handed the cub to the Santa Faz animal rehabilitation facility in Alicante where it is being taken care of by a team of Veterinarians.

Netizens reacted to the news by expressing their anger at the little cub’s predicament.

‘Oscar36’ expressed his anger at the story commenting: “What an embarrassment! Why can’t people just leave wild animals to live their lives in peace?”

‘rEsTiTuTo’ said: “Surely this man has to be fined for his actions? They should at least take away his hunting license.”

Due to the cub’s young age both its capture and sale were illegal and a case has been filed against the hunter, who was not identified, for infringement of Hunting laws and Spanish Biodiversity regulations.

Police believe that two other cubs were taken by the hunter and are currently trying to locate them.
