This is the moment an adorable kitten tries to help its puppy pal climb out of a hole as it yelps in panic.

The kitten and the puppy are reportedly inseparable and even share a sleeping basket together as seen in the video.

They constantly frolic around in the garden with boundless energy at the woman’s home in Tai’an, a prefecture-level city in the Chinese province of Shandong.

However, they annoyed their female owner Chong Chong when the puppy kept getting in the way when she was busy, so she placed him in the hole to stop him being a nuisance.

The puppy panicked when he realised he was not able to hop out easily like his kitten best friend, and started yelping, prompting his feline friend to try to help.

The kitten tries showing him how to jump out and when that fails she even tries putting her paws on him to somehow pull him to safety as he jumps up on his back legs but fails to emerge from the hole.

The woman owner, who heard the panicking puppy, said it was so sweet the way the kitten was trying to help that she stopped to film it before then releasing the puppy from the hole and letting him scamper off with his pal.
