Angry Cow Charges At California Cop Shooing It Off The Highway
This is the moment a California cop lets out a sigh of relief after being charged at by an angry cow.
Officer Pratt had a lucky escape while trying to shoo a rogue cow off a highway near the town of Susanville in the Californian county of Lassen.
The cow grew angry and charged at the highway cop, inflicting a “glancing blow” near his shoulder.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) in Susanville said: “Holy Cow! Our Officer Pratt caught on camera one of the many dangers we face on a daily basis here in rural northeastern California.
“Susanville CHP regularly handles calls of large animals that are outside of fenced areas and are threatening our motoring public by walking into the highway.
“This meat locomotive decided it had enough of being told what to do. Fortunately Officer Pratt escaped relatively unscathed!”
In the footage, the cop is seen standing to the side of the road after apparently coercing the cow to a safe location.
However, the stocky animal promptly charges at the shocked cop, who turns and runs.
The bovine tries to ram the man with a running leap, but he apparently escapes uninjured.
Officer Pratt is seen returning to his patrol car and breathing a sigh of relief after his lucky escape.
The police added: “Remember to always buckle up, never drink and drive, and call CHP to handle those pesky cows that are outside their fences.”
