Underwater explorer shares magnificent footage of the Barrel jellyfish captured in the Adriatic sea. The jellyfish was filmed by underwater explorer Velimir Vrzic on the 3rd of July. The Barrel jellyfish (Rhizostoma Pulmo) is a jellylike marine cnidarian of the class Scyphozoa in the family Rhizostomatidae that usually grows up to 40 cm (16 in) in diameter but can also reach up to 150 cm (59 inches) in diameter and weigh up to 10 kilograms. Velimir shared the video with a note saying: “It is one of the Adriatic’s largest ones, weighing up to 10 kilograms. On our seashore, we frequently see it. When touched, it produces relatively little skin discomfort.”
