This beautiful international model who had worked in the UK the year before the pandemic started in Wuhan, China, has tragically died after her car overturned on a dirt track.
Taynnara Melo, 27, died in the car accident in the Brazilian municipality of Amorinopolis on the afternoon of 8th May.
The model was at the wheel of her Chevrolet S-10 compact pickup truck when she lost control of the steering and the vehicle overturned on the dirt track on which she was driving.
The emergency services were called to the scene. However, by the time paramedics arrived, Taynnara had already succumbed to her injuries.
Her boyfriend, Rudson Figueredo, who was travelling in the passenger seat, was injured but survived the accident.
In addition to fashion modelling, Taynnara was active as an influencer on Instagram, where she boasted shy of 22,000 followers.
She had lived and worked abroad, including in London, where she posted photos of herself in front of the London Eye for her Instagram followers in July 2018.
She wrote at the time: “Now is time to go home. Thanks God for this amazing time in London. See you soon UK. Now yeeesssss Holiday”.
Taynnara had dreams of further pursuing her modelling career.
Her grieving mother, Joecy Mara Melo, is a councilwoman for Amorinopolis for the centre-to-centre-right Brazilian Democratic Movement (MDB).
A statement from the municipal council paid tribute to the young woman, saying she will always be remembered for her “charisma, simplicity and beauty”.
It is not clear if the model’s death is being investigated by the authorities.
