This is the moment Russian rescue teams search for an SUV filled with wealthy and beautiful online influencers that sank in a river after a wooden bridge collapsed.

The tragedy happened after the man and five women in the vehicle had filmed themselves having fun and going to a supermarket to buy bottles of booze for their impending holiday.

The black Lexus they were travelling in left the city of Vladivostok in the Russian federal subject of Primorsky Krai on 18th April for the village of Novovarvarovka, where a tourist destination with houses is located.

The news outlet Komsomolskaya Pravda reported that the driver was an unidentified male while the other five people were all women who had impressive numbers of followers on their Instagram pages.

On the road to the village to have a party, they came across a wooden bridge that leads to the same tourist village.

Komsomoskaya Pravda reported that that the driver decided to drive through the bridge, but he lost control and drove over the fence, after which the car collapsed into the Arsenyevka River along with part of the bridge.

The car swiftly dragged its passengers to the bottom. Because of the high pressure in the vehicle, the glass broke, saving three of the women sitting in the back seat. They were able to get out of the car and swim to the shore.

One of the three survivors was Daria Kornilova, a blogger and vice-miss of Primorye 2012, who is now a model.

According to Komsomolskaya Pravda’s report, last year, Daria gave birth to a daughter. And back in 2019, she married her husband, judging by the photos she shared from their wedding ceremony. However, whether she is still married to him is not yet clear.

Daria has more than 10,000 followers, with whom she shared the message: “I’m alive! I was able to get out of the car through the broken window.”

She also added a story saying that she was not ready to talk to journalists.

In the first video, the collapsed bridge and the river’s current can be seen along with a boat, and several vehicles apparently belong to the rescue team.

In the second video, Daria can be seen showing her face in the car before they go to a liquor shop to buy alcohol. Later they can be seen dancing and drinking in the car on the road. The video ends when they stop at a gas station.

Komsomoslkaya Pravda reported that the investigators opened a criminal case under the article ‘Causing death by negligence of two or more persons.’

Rescuers have already lifted the car that sank along with the passengers from the bottom of the river. The body of an unidentified woman was found in the vehicle.

The search for the male driver and another woman continues. Local media reported that there is a possibility that they were carried further by the current.

The current speed of the current in the river is reported as three metres (9,8 feet) per second. According to rescuers, this is about 20 kilometres (65,6 feet) per hour, which is considered a relatively strong current.
