Car Robber Pursued By Police Helicopter After The Suspect Escaped From Cops In A Hazardous Manner

Officers used spike strips to stop a U-Haul Van robber after a dangerous pursuit that was interrupted. The Vacaville Police Department joined a brief chase with a stolen U-Haul vehicle in Vacaville, California on 10th July. The pursuit was called off when the suspect escaped in a hazardous manner. CHP Airplane Air-31 (A-31) was dispatched to the scene and found the car in the Whispering Hills subdivision of Vacaville. Vacaville PD was led to the new location of the suspect by the Air-31 crew. Spike strips were deployed and all four tires were flattened as the suspect escaped again. The suspect stopped and surrendered without incident after losing control of the car. This case is being investigated by the Vacaville Police Department.
