After an awkward start that included lots of face planting this panda is finally getting into its stride as it leaps and runs around its pen.

The youngest panda in Adventure World has quickly attracted a large online following after he appeared in public for the first time at a theme park in Wakayama Prefecture, in Japan.

Every day he makes further progress and is currently seen almost acrobatically leaping around his enclosure.

The baby panda is named Fuhin and was born in November and for her audience today she was demonstrating her jumping ability.

The adorable animal is still slightly clumsy on her feet, but still continues to jump enthusiastically even when losing her balance.

The toys that she’s been provided with become an obstacle course, and most of the time she seems to manage to navigate them efficiently with only the occasional mishap.

At one point, Fuhin admittedly finds herself upside down and struggles to get out of that situation.

But at the end it was the same conclusion with the little panda tired, and deciding it was time for a nap.
