When it comes to bedding down for the night, nothing beats sleeping on its owner’s head.

The cat’s owner – named as Ms Xia from Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, southern China – said: “The cat especially likes to sleep with its father.

“Dad was woken up by the heat last night and he wanted to send the cat away, but it was so cute that it just wanted to be next to him.”

One video of the snoozing puss – widely viewed on the Chinese social network Douyin – shows ‘Dad’ struggling to sleep in bed as the moggy sits on his head.

In the second clip, the cat is heard purring loudly while lying across the man’s face, preventing him from drifting off.

He tries to shift the feline away by twitching his face before giving up and closing his eyes.

The third video shows the man singing to the napping moggy as it snuggles into his neck and rests its head on his.

As he tries to move away, the puss can be seen extending a controlling paw to stop any further hope of escape.

In the fourth clip, ‘Dad’ squirms his face in discomfort as the snoring cat uses his eye socket as a chinrest.

The final video shows the man taking the cat – awake this time – for a ride around the living room on top of his head.
