HMS Queen Elizabeth Passing Through The Suez Canal #OYT

Suez Canal, 6 July

On her route to the Red Sea, the Royal Navy’s largest ever built warship – HMS Queen Elizabeth was photographed travelling through the 120-mile-long Suez Canal on 6th July. It’s the final leg of the 65,000-tonne behemoth’s 26,000-mile journey to and from the Far East. HMS Queen Elizabeth’s Twitter account stated: “A hazy day as we pass through the Suez Canal Flag of Egypt, next to the Red Sea and then onto the Indian Ocean.” The CSG21 is a combined deployment of the Royal Air Force and the Royal Navy, and it is the largest air and marine force to depart the United Kingdom in a generation.
