A hapless cow was left upside down into a feed trough after a rival rammed it up the backside sending it flying.

Bizarre footage of the drama was caught on security CCTV cameras in the enclosure in Tieling City, Liaoning Province, north east China, on 12th July.

In the video, a brown and white cow is eating peacefully at the trough when a black and white heifer moves in.

Without warning, it buts its rival so hard in the rear end that it flips over into the trough flat on its back with its legs waving in the air.

Ms. Wang – a member of the family that owns the cows – said that when her father saw what had happened he reviewed the CCTV footage.

She said that her dad also quickly acted to remove the cow from the trough by tipping it on its side as if left in that position for too long, it could have proved fatal.

The video attracted many comments on social media in China with one named ‘fire’ saying: “Is there be a follow-up video, I want to see how the old man took the cow out.”

And another named ‘DY’s Father’ commented: “Quick, add charcoal, sprinkle cumin! Dinner tonight.”
