Moment Florida Man Dressed Up As Woman Carries Out Armed Robbery

This is the moment a man in Florida dressed up as a woman with a wig, fishnet stockings and knee-high boots carries out an armed robbery at a petrol station and forces the employees to hand over cash from the till.

The incident took place at a Sunoco petrol station in Winter Park, which is a city near Orlando, in the south-eastern US state of Florida.

The footage shows the suspect entering the premises and waiting in front of the till. He can be heard calling for service and asking if the premises are open. The suspect can then be seen pulling out a gun after asking for some cigarettes behind the counter.

The footage then shows the employees emptying the till and giving the suspect the cash before he leaves as the footage ends.

The prime suspect has been named as John M. Graham, 33, and he was arrested after allegedly carrying out two armed robberies on Tuesday 4th January. He has been charged with robbery with a firearm and carrying a concealed weapon without a licence.

An alleged accomplice, who has been named as Klandi T. Brooks, 24, has also been arrested and charged with “felony principle to a robbery with a firearm”.

The arrests were announced by the Daytona Beach Police Department, who said: “We’ve arrested two people for their roles in an early-morning gas station robbery near Daytona International Speedway with assistance from the Volusia Sheriff’s Office.”

The police also said: “Brooks and Graham are also facing charges in another robbery early this morning in DeBary.” That investigation is being handled by the Volusia Sheriff’s Office.”

The Daytona Beach Police Department added: “Officers responded to the Sunoco soon after an employee called Volusia County emergency dispatch around 4:45 a.m., saying that a man wrapped in a blanket and wearing a wig, glasses, facemask and yellow shoes pulled a gun on her after he had asked her for a pack of cigarettes from behind the counter.”

The police added: “That man – later identified as Graham – fled after taking the cigarettes and some cash from the register, heading south towards Thames Road.”

The police said that dog units help them track down the prime suspect, saying: “K-9 units tracking the suspect managed to find the wig in a shopping plaza nearby and tire tracks that indicated the suspect may have fled in a vehicle.”

The cops explained how the suspects were taken into custody, saying: “While that search was going on, other DBPD officers discovered a rental truck parked near the Best Buy (1900 West ISB) which matched a vehicle that VSO was looking for in the DeBary robbery. They also found Graham and Brooks walking on foot through the nearby Wawa gas station and took them into custody after officers noticed that Graham’s description and clothing matched the suspect in the Sunoco robbery.

“Soon after Graham was detained, officers found a firearm tucked in his waistband while doing a safety pat-down. A similar pat-down on Brooks turned up the keys to the rental truck found in the Best Buy parking lot.”

The police said that Graham and Brooks are both being held without bond at the Volusia County Jail pending their first appearance in court. It is currently unclear when they will appear before a judge.
