Moment Lifeguard On Jet Ski Saves Three Children From Drowning

This is the moment a lifeguard on a jet ski saves three children from drowning after they got into difficulty in the water and screamed for help.

The incident took place on Pitangueiras Beach in the coastal city of Guaruja in the state of Sao Paulo in south-eastern Brazil on Sunday, 9th January.

The footage shows a lifeguard from the Maritime Fire Regiment (GBMar) locating and rescuing the three drowning children, who have not been named but who are reportedly 11, 13 and 16.

The three children can be heard shouting out for help as the lifeguard pilots the jet ski over to them one after the other and retrieves them from the water.

Their heads can be seen bobbing up and down in the water as they struggle to stay on the surface.

But after he reaches them, the lifeguard helps them onto his jet ski and can be seen returning them to the shore as the footage ends.

Throughout the rescue, the lifeguard can be heard telling the children to try to stay calm.

The lifeguard, who has not been named, was reportedly patrolling the area when he came upon the trio by chance.

All three were rescued alive and uninjured. The victims were reportedly from the same family from the state of Minas Gerais in south-eastern Brazil.

The GBMar explained that the three youngsters had been carried out to sea due to a riptide and that it was important for adults to monitor their children at all times.
