The lifeguard, who has not been named, was reportedly patrolling the area when he came upon the trio by chance.
All three were rescued alive and uninjured. The victims were reportedly from the same family from the state of Minas Gerais in south-eastern Brazil.
The GBMar explained that the three youngsters had been carried out to sea due to a riptide and that it was important for adults to monitor their children at all times.
