This is the moment an armed suspect points his gun at an Oklahoma cop and threatens to shoot him.
The standoff took place in Oklahoma City in the US state of Oklahoma on 8th December.
The body-cam footage of the confrontation was shared on social media by the Oklahoma City Police Department on 21st December.
According to local reports, the officer was responding to a disturbance report at an apartment complex and came across the suspect, identified as 40-year-old Antwon Hill, reaching for a gun in his pocket.
In the footage, the cop is seen asking the suspect: “Can I just see what you have? Okay, put it down on the ground.”
The officer then backs away as Hill shows the gun and calls him a “rookie” who “does not know” what to do.
The suspect, apparently intoxicated, then confronts the officer with his gun apparently in his pocket and teases him before finally removing the weapon.
The cop says “don’t shoot” as the suspect points his gun at him and threatens to “shoot your b*tch a*s”.
The officer fires his weapon while backing away and Hill then flees the scene.
According to the local authorities, Hill barricaded himself in a relative’s apartment as Oklahoma cops surrounded the building for around five hours.
After attempting to negotiate with the suspect, the police said a tactical team used tear gas to force him out of the flat, and he finally handed himself over to the cops.
He is being held at the Oklahoma County Detention Center for pointing a gun at an officer and possession of a firearm after conviction of a felony.
The authorities confirmed that no one was injured in the incident as the investigation continues.
