Nashville Man Crashes Into Power Pole After Stealing Tanker

This is the moment an axle bounces along the road after a suspect stole a tanker and crashed into a power pole.

The incident was filmed in the city of Nashville in the US state of Tennessee on 8th March.

According to local reports, the suspect, named as 38-year-old Jacques Dubois, stole the empty tanker on E. Thompson Lane at around 2pm.

While driving on Murfreesboro Pike and Thompson Lane, Dubois crashed into a power pole and ended up losing part of an axle in the street, according to the authorities.

Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) said the suspect drove to Wilhagen Drive and the tanker ended up in a ditch.

In the video, the rear of the tanker is seen hitting the pole as part of the back axle comes off and the wheels bounce along the tarmac.

MNPD accompanied the video with the message: “Jacques Dubois, 38, didn’t get far in this empty tanker truck he stole from a lot on E. Thompson Ln at 2:10 p.m.

“After hitting a power pole @ Murfreesboro Pk & Thompson Ln & losing part of an axle, Dubois drove to Wilhagen Dr and wound up partly in a ditch.”

The police added that “he’s in custody” as the investigation continues.
