This is the moment a patient smashes an ambulance window as it takes him to the hospital and he runs off down the road in just his pants.
The bizarre incident was filmed on a driver’s dashcam on Chekhov Street in Volgograd, in south west Russia, at around 11am on 24th July.
As the car pulled up at a set of traffic lights behind the ambulance, a first aid kit came crashing through the rear window.
Following closely, the patient – wearing only a pair of briefs – then hurled himself through the broken window onto the tarmac.
As he hit the ground, he was seen sprinting away barefoot as fast as he could.
Local media reported that the patient had overpowered paramedics inside the ambulance before fleeing.
Police – who have not named the patient – say he was arrested sometime later and faces charges of vandalism and assault.
The Vologda Ministry of Health later issued a statement to say that he was in a state of drug intoxication.
In the statement, obtained by Newsflash, they said: “During the process of hospitalization, the man, who was being transported in the ambulance, started a fight with medics who were unable to restrain the man because this is against the law. The medics also pointed out that the man was physically very strong, and even though he had not been wearing clothes, had decided to escape.”
