ROCKS IN THEIR HEADS: Dimwit Yobs Try To Destroy Landmark Boulder

This is the moment two yobs try to kick a huge boulder off a mountain at a Chinese beauty spot, sparking outrage online.

The rock is revered as the Incredible Shaking Stone on a peak at Xiang Lu Mountain Park, Guizhou province, south west China.

A sign beside the landmark – just a metre from a sheer drop down the mountain – says: “This is dangerous. Please do not approach.”

But video footage from the park – which emerged last week – shows two yobs doing their best to tip the rock over the edge.

As they brace themselves against a ledge they stretch their legs out against the rock, apparently hoping to wobble it enough to send it plunging down the mountainside.

Park officials later confirmed the attempt to destroy the iconic landmark.

They say they will boost security in the area, increase their online information and involve residents in initiatives to promote and raise awareness of the park.

But the stunt was condemned by social media users.

Douyin user ‘Enthusiastic citizens’ commented: “You have to call the police, those two guys have to go to jail.”

Netizen ‘God without Jesus’ said: “People are taking huge security risks.”

While ‘Never give up’ wrote: “I wonder if the boulder fell down after all that.”
