Russian Combat Helicopters Attacking Ukrainian Targets

This is the moment Russian combat helicopters carrying out special operations in Ukraine are seen striking several targets.

The video was obtained by Newsflash from the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) on 28th February with the title: “Combat work of helicopters of the RF (Russian Federation) Armed Forces during a special operation.”

The footage shows Russian combat choppers taking to the sky before identifying targets on their onboard computers and apparently destroying them.

The video then shows severely damaged weapons and equipment, allegedly belonging to the Ukrainian defence forces.

MoD chief spokesperson Major General Igor Konashenkov claimed that six columns of armoured vehicles of the Ukrainian armed forces were hit by tactical aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces, adding that 110 Ukrainian servicemen voluntarily laid down their arms.

Prior to the invasion on 24th February, Russia had amassed over 100,000 troops along the Ukrainian border that the Kremlin insisted were only taking part in training exercises.

The invasion was followed by airstrikes of military buildings in Ukraine while tanks entered the country via the Belarus border.

Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy declared martial law throughout the country and joined the defence of the capital Kyiv.

Ukrainian infrastructure has been seriously affected by the invading forces, which has included cyberattacks and bombardments.

Several Ukrainian areas have been taken, including the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant.

However, Russian forces are encountering strong resistance in their efforts to take Kyiv.
