This is the moment a feisty grocery store manager slashed a masked raider in the face with a huge knife as he tried to stuff her takings into his pockets.

The courageous woman – whose identity was not disclosed – slashed the masked mugger across the face in a store in the Mexican state of Colima in the early hours of Saturday, 13th August 2022.

At the beginning of the 30-second-long video, the woman stood quietly behind the counter while the man wearing a balaclava stole the money from the cash register tray.

He reportedly carried a screwdriver with him which he had used to threaten her.

After a few seconds, the woman nervously pulled out a knife from behind the cash register, but immediately put it back as the offender looked over.

The robber then continued gathering the remaining coins from the tray, but suddenly fled away after the woman took the knife in her hand for a second time and slashed him straight in the face.

Surveillance cameras then captured her immediately rushing out of the store after him.

The video was very well received by netizens, who expressed their support for the brave woman.

A Twitter user ‘Almazan Blue’ commented: “You don’t need a man, that woman in charge is the best.”

While ‘Bruno’ added: “Congratulations to this woman. The lack of results from the government pushes citizens to these acts.”

And user ‘alejandro garcia’ said: “Congratulations to that brave woman and now let’s support her against those parasites of this society.”

Many hoped there will be no legal consequences for the woman’s bold act of defence.

It was not reported whether the offender has been caught by the police yet.
