Two Muskoxen Calves Name After Precious Stones Got Zoomies At Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center

Nome, Alaska

Two rescued muskox babies are going crazy in the same time after getting some Zoomies.

Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center ( AWCC) captured the funny moment in Nome, Alaska and shared the footage on 19th July.

The two muskoxen, Opal and Jasper, are seen get some of their energy out running incessantly and clumsily in their pen. This process is also known as “zoomies”.

Jasper and Opal are both orphaned muskoxen that were found and took for care by the AWCC team.

The Conservation Center told Clipzilla an interesting truth about the meaning of the names of the two calves:” In the Middle Ages, opal was considered a stone that could provide great luck because it was believed to possess all the virtues of each gemstone whose colour was represented in the colour spectrum of the opal.

” Known as the “Supreme Nurturer,” Jasper is a stone of grounding and stability, providing comfort and security, strength and healing.”
