US Demonstrates New Quick-sink Bomb Fired by F-15 E Strike Eagle

The Integrated Test Team at Eglin Air Force Base and the US Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) have unveiled testing images of a novel ‘quick-sink’ bomb meant to destroy enemy warships from the air.

On April 28th, 2022, the US Air Force tested the weapons against a cargo ship in the Gulf of Mexico.

The modified bomb was fired by an F-15E Strike Eagle fighter, which successfully struck the target by detonating a GPS-navigated bomb beneath the ship.
