US Paratroopers Parachute Alongside Tunisian Colleagues For First Time After A Decade

This is the moment US paratroopers take part in a military training event with the Tunisian Armed Forces in their first airborne exercise together in a decade.

The paratroopers from the 173rd Airborne Brigade and the US Army’s Southern European Task Force performed the exercise with the Armed Forces of Tunisia in the Al Amila drop zone on Sidi Ahmed Air Base, which is located in the town of Bizerte, in Tunisia, on 3rd and 4th March.

In the video shared by the US Army, the paratroopers can be seen coordinating before jumping from an aircraft, flying, and landing on the ground.

According to a statement by the US Army, about 50 soldiers from 1st Squadron, 91st Cavalry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade participated in the exercise together with 50 of their Tunisian military counterparts.

The US Army said: “While the militaries have joined together in a number of military exercises, including African Lion last year, this was the first U.S.-Tunisia airborne exercise in a decade.”
