This is the moment an escaped goat gives Florida cops the run-around at a city apartment complex before the four-legged fugitive is eventually placed under arrest.

The ‘wild goat chase’ took place at an apartment complex in the city of Tallahassee in Leon County located in the US state of Florida.

The police joked that officers occasionally have to “wrangle” animals as part of their public duties.

However, following a nervy “foot pursuit”, cops managed to place the rogue goat under arrest.

The Tallahassee Police Department said on 20th April: “Our officers handle a wide variety of calls for service which occasionally includes the wrangling of stray livestock.

“Recently, one of our exceptional officers hailing from the fine state of New Jersey was called to an apartment complex regarding an elusive goat on the run.”

The police added: “This inevitably called for the deployment of a team of officers to conduct a strategic foot pursuit in order to take this evasive animal into custody.

“Watch for another day in the life of an officer on the job, serving the community.”

The footage shows frantic cops chasing after the runaway animal in the apartment complex before it nimbly evades three officers who think they have it cornered.

The runaway animal then enters a hallway and is promptly placed under arrest by the team of brave cops.
