Woman Clings To Car Bonnet As Ex Speeds Down City Streets Before She Is Thrown To Ground
This is the moment a woman clings to the bonnet of a car being driven by her ex following a row between the pair before she is flung onto the road.
The driver has since tried to justify his actions by claiming that his ex was blocking his path and that “she went on top because she wanted to”.
The scene was captured on CCTV and filmed by passersby in the southern Brazilian municipality of Francisco Beltrao on 13th April.
Footage shows the woman clinging to the bonnet of the moving vehicle, which passes several blocks with her still clinging on before she is flung to the asphalt road and remains lying there injured.
Paramedics subsequently treated the victim at the scene for her unspecified injuries, and she later gave evidence at a women’s police station.
She also underwent medical tests for bodily harm as part of the investigation that the police opened into the case, which they registered as domestic violence.
The police have seized the car belonging to the driver, who they are investigating and is yet to be questioned.
Local media report that the driver was the victim’s ex-partner, who had tried to knock the woman down with his vehicle following an argument minutes earlier.
After his ex was flung to the ground, the perpetrator reportedly abandoned his car and fled the scene.
The suspect has since taken to social media to claim that he argued with his ex because she was unhappy about his new relationship.
He also claimed he hit her with his car because she was blocking his path, writing: “I offered her a lift in the passenger seat. She went on top because she wanted to.”
The investigation is ongoing.
