Zoo Welcomes Newborn Baby Monkey Francois’ Langur
A newborn female monkey belonging to the Francois’ Langur kind was introduced to the Philadelphia Zoo, in the city of Philadelphia, in the US state of Pennsylvania, in December last year.
The cub, born to parents Mei Mei and Chester, was named Quy Bau, which means ‘something that is precious because it is unique and you never want to lose’ in Vietnamese.
A spokesperson from the zoo said this was the first-ever successful breeding of this species at the Zoo.
