BABY BOOMERS: Aid Group Smuggles Five Surrogate Mums With US Babies Out Of Ukraine Warzone

Five Ukrainian surrogate mothers carrying American babies have been rescued from war-ravaged Ukraine and taken to a safe location.

The five mums-to-be were among 60 people successfully pulled out of war zones by the Florida-based NGO Project Dynamo.

The care group specialises in helping stranded US citizens trapped abroad.

It said the expectant mums had been desperate to escape the constant bombardment of civilians in the Russian invasion.

Sixty people were rescued by Project Dynamo representatives near the towns and cities of Dnipro, Kharkiv, Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Kakhovka.

The group, fleeing from Russian attacks in the besieged country, were first taken to a Project Dynamo safe house with the codename ‘Club Dynamo’, in an unspecified location in Ukraine.

Club Dynamo has been used as a secure layover for evacuees as they wait to be moved out of the country ever since the invasion was launched.

The NGO said Club Dynamo has been a safe house where surrogate mothers can stay until they are either ready to give birth or be taken to a safe location far from the falling bombs and Ukrainian counter attacks, which have caused millions of civilians to leave the country.

Project Dynamo said that surrogate mothers are legally not allowed to leave Ukraine prior to giving birth.

NGO members have also helped to rescue 40 children and 15 adults related to the five surrogate mothers from war-torn areas in the country.

Russia invaded Ukraine on 24th February in what the Kremlin is calling a “special military operation”. Today marks the 50th day of the invasion.
