This officer had an interesting start of his workday when a chicken that had hidden in the back of his truck led him on a merry chase around a busy parking lot.

The hilarious video was filmed in the parking lot of Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office in the US state of Florida on 22nd February.

Apparently, the chicken hid in the back of the officer’s truck and he unknowingly took it to work with him.

The sneaky bird only showed itself once the officer got to work and parked his car, at which point she started running around the parking lot, leading the officer on a chase.

After a few minutes of running under and around cars, hiding from the officer, he finally manages to capture it by its feet.

The Sheriff said the chicken was not harmed and she is now safely back at home.

He added: “We can’t say the same for the egg she laid in the bed of the truck.”
