A reality TV star who hit headlines in 2018 when she claimed she had bedded a man for money twice to help pay for her mum’s cancer treatment has allegedly been found dead in a river.

The lifeless body of stunning blonde Anastasia Kochervey, 28, was allegedly found in a waterway in Saint Petersburg, northern Russia, after she vanished without a trace from the Russian capital, Moscow, earlier this month.

The tragic news was reported on social media on Wednesday morning (24th August) by her friend Olesya Malibu.

It is not yet known if Anastasia was murdered, committed suicide or had an accident, but Olesya claimed her friend had problems with illegal substances and had been seeing a young man.

At the time of reporting, it had not yet been confirmed that the body belonged to Anastasia, but her mother was en route from Krasnodar to Saint Petersburg to identify it.

Anastasia was born in Krasnodar Krai, southern Russia, and came to fame after her appearances – in 2017 and 2018 respectively – on the reality TV shows ‘Let’s Get Married!’ and ‘Dom-2’, in which contestants build a house while trying to find love in the process.

She had most recently lived in the United Arab Emirates but remained in the eye of the Russian public through her frequent appearances on talk shows in her home country.

She hit headlines in 2018 when she claimed she had had sex with an unnamed man for money to help pay for her mum’s treatment after she was diagnosed with cancer.

Anastasia – then aged 24 – had only just started dating fellow Dom-2 cast member Andrey Shabarlyn.

She said at the time: “We were together for about a month when my mother got diagnosed with cancer and I had to act quickly.”

She added: “I am not proud of it, but at least I have a living mother and for me this is a gift from God.”
