Cops Stop Suspect Who Was Driving A Stolen Car With Help From Aviation Unit

Officers from the Durham Police successfully stopped a suspect who was driving a stolen car with a help of an Air1 Unit.

The pursuit took place in the town of Bowmanville in the Durham Region in Ontario, Canada on the 13th of May.

The police received a call about a stolen Pontiac G8 in the Bowmanville area.

An Air1 Unit assisted in the search of the vehicle overhead the city.

The car was quickly located by the Air1 Unit who directed the officers to the location the stolen car was heading at.

After a brief pursuit, the police were able to safely halt the vehicle and prevent it from fleeting.

According to Durham Regional Police, a 26-year-old male from Clarington is charged with “Theft of a motor vehicle”.
