This is the moment a terrified black bear scrambles over a fence to flee a pack of dogs attacking it while it searched for food.

The first video shows the bear trying desperately to climb over a chain link garden fence after it has snuck in looking for something to eat.

As the dog gives chase, the bear flips itself over the top of the fence landing safely on the other side in Naqu, Tibet.

But as it landed, it emerged there were more dogs on the other side.

A second video shows the bear at bay surrounded by three slavering dogs by a lake or river.

As they try to get closer the bear sweeps at one of them with a huge paw, driving it off.

The videographer told local media there are many black bears in Tibet this season, and they come out every night to look for food.

He explained that this bear was not really afraid of dogs but of people because they had been shining lights.
