This footage shows a driver falling out of his moving car after a door mishap while going round a corner without wearing a seat belt.

After going over a speed bump and around a street corner, the footage shows the man falling heavily onto the street while his car continues on, slowly going down the road with its door still wide open.

The incident took place in the Jardim Brasilandia neighbourhood of Franca, Sao Paulo state, Brazil, on Saturday, 30th July.

The embarrassed driver, who preferred not to be named, told local media: “As there is the footage, I only believed it when I saw it. I didn’t even believe it, to tell the truth. To this day I’m amazed.”

In the video, the man can be seen falling into the road and narrowly avoiding having his legs run over by his own vehicle.

His red cap comes off and a drinks can can be seen lying in the street along with him, having fallen out of the car too.

Other cars can be seen stopping a short distance behind the man lying in the middle of the road. He appears to be getting to his feet gingerly as the footage ends.

The man reportedly escaped with only minor injuries. The police are not thought to be investigating the incident.
