A jilted husband who stabbed his young wife repeatedly with a huge knife and boasted about it in a livestream from her phone has been seized by police.
Suspect Onur Aslan, 26, lured his estranged wife – 22-year-old Rabia Dag Aslan – to meeting in a park to discuss their divorce on 29th July.
But when she got there, Aslan pulled a knife and stabbed her over and over again in the stomach, say reports in Acipayam, Denizli Province, Turkey.
Thinking he had killed his ex, he snatched her phone and used her social media account to livestream himself boasting while brandishing the knife.
In his chilling livestream, he is reported to have said: “Despite all our best efforts, we finally [had to] restore our honour.
“So, you see what it is? Not every person can be treated as a b*tch, bro! Do you understand? Live for your honour, and die for your honour!”
But little did Aslan know, Rabia was still alive.
Passers-by called the emergency services after spotting her slumped on the ground, covered in blood.
Paramedics treated her at the scene before she was taken by ambulance to Pamukkale University Hospital.
At the time of reporting, she remained hospitalised in a critical condition, with her life still in danger.
Cops arrested Aslan at an address in Cameli, where he was hiding.
Local media reported that he had earlier attempted to take his own life twice so that his wife would not divorce him.
It is unclear if he has been formally charged.
