This is the moment a squealing dog is saved from drowning by Italian firemen.

The rescue took place in the Dora river, located in the city of Turin, in Northern Italy, on Monday 16th May.

The video shows how the dog is pulled up in the arms of a fireman, who was tied with a cable.

As it went up, the dog can be heard crying, scared of the situation.

When it arrived at the top, the dog was quickly taken to safety.

The dog was successfully saved and returned to its owner.

If it was not for the firemen, the dog would have died, since the river has difficult access.
