This is the ‘Fast & Furious’ moment a landslide hits a road tunnel and a lucky driver – with their foot on the floor and heart in their mouth – miraculously emerges from the huge dust cloud.

The incident took place at the exit of Tonghua No. 1 Tunnel on the G4217 Rongchang Expressway in the Chinese province of Sichuan on 5th July.

The disaster sealed off one entrance and sent a torrent of dust and rock rushing through the tunnel.

But this amazingly lucky driver hit the throttle and emerged from the other side just seconds ahead of the maelstrom.

As the dark cloud spreads towards the exit, the front of a white SUV is seen bursting through the dust cloud like something from a Hollywood movie.

CCTV watchers are heard gasping in the background as the cool-headed driver speeds away with dust and debris trailing behind him.

No one was reported as injured in the landslide, which blocked the tunnel and resulted in the road’s temporary closure.
