These images show a Florida cop taking a food delivery to a hungry resident’s front door after arresting the DoorDash driver en route.

The hapless delivery driver was reportedly arrested for two outstanding warrants and did not have the time to finish his delivery when a local cop busted him.

The DoorDash driver was arrested in Hillsborough County in the US state of Florida over the weekend.

As the unnamed driver was unable to complete their delivery, a kindhearted Hillsborough County cop decided to finish it instead.

The hungry resident was reportedly surprised to see a cop outside the front door instead of a delivery person, but was nonetheless grateful to have received their order in a timely fashion.

Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) said: “District I deputies went above and beyond after arresting a DoorDash driver who was in the process of delivering food.”

In the images, the officer is seen knocking on the resident’s front door before apparently explaining the situation to them while holding their food order.

In the next scene, the resident is seen posing with the cop after receiving the order.

HCSO said: “The driver had two outstanding warrants at the time of the arrest, but, their work didn’t stop there. HCSO deputies completed the delivery for the customer!”

The police added: “Way to go Team HCSO!”
