Grand Theft Auto: Florida Man Filmed By Cop Chopper Crashing Into Cars And Fence After Being Rammed By Police Cars In Epic Chase

A man in Florida can be seen here fleeing from cops in carjacked vehicles including a black Mustang convertible as the epic chase sees him crashing into other cars and smashing through fences with police ramming him.

The suspect, who has been named as 27-year old Kenneth Lunford, Jr., has since been arrested and charged with 31 offences by the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO), which is located in the south-eastern US state of Florida.

The footage shows the police helicopter filming the fleeing vehicle and communicating with other officers on the ground.

The footage shows the suspect in a red vehicle going through red lights, with the driver side door open and “flapping in the wind” as the police officer in the helicopter put it. He can also be seen going through red lights and causes audible anguish from the officer in the helicopter as he “nearly causes a head-on collision” while driving on the wrong side of the road.

This prompts an unidentified police officer believed to be on the ground to state: “He has to be stopped.”

A short while later, the red vehicle comes to a stop and the driver “bails”. He then attempts to carjack a fancy-looking white convertible that speeds off before he can steal it.

He then jumps back into the red car and speeds off down the street before getting out a short while later and carjacks a black Mustang. The police officer in the helicopter can be heard telling his colleagues: “He just carjacked this Mustang. He is taking off in a black convertible Mustang.”

Another cop, visibly irritated at the suspect’s apparent wanton disregard for the law, can be heard saying: “Okay, I’m getting amped up now.”

During the chase, the police can then be seen attempting to ram the black Mustang, at one point causing it to crash into another car befor the driver eventually crashes into fences and attempts to flee on foot.

At one point, the vehicle becomes stuck after crashing through a fence. The suspect can then be seen fleeing through mangroves in a bid to escape cops.

Police pursued the suspect on foot, with one officer seen scrambling through the mangroves after Lunford.

The suspect can then be seen hiding in the mangroves by a body of water before jumping into it and swimming East, according to the police helicopter crew.

At least three police officers quickly arrived on the scene and train their firearms on the suspect who stop swimming as more officers arrive. The footage then ends and the suspect was reportedly arrested.

In a statement from the PCSO obtained by Newsflash, the police said that the suspect has been charged with 31 offences, including two counts of carjacking, one count of attempted carjacking, 11 counts of driving under the influence of property damage, 12 counts of fleeing the scene of an accident that involved property damage, one count of robbery, one count of resisting an officer of violence, and three counts of fleeing and eluding police officers.
