Moment Crying Mums Cradle Their Drowned Kids After Tragedy At Bog

This is the shocking moment crying mum’s cradle the dead bodies of their children after they reportedly drowned in a bog.

Four young children have died while playing in a bog in the village of Shatang in the south-eastern Chinese province of Guangdong on 8th August,

The bog was reportedly 3.7 metres (12.1 feet) long, 3.3 metres (10.8 feet) wide, and 2.5 metres (8.2 feet) deep and in the shape of a funnel.

The day after the tragic incident, villagers told local media that the four victims were aged between 11 and seven years, and were all cousins.

Local residents said one of the victims fell into trouble in the deep bog and the others died during a rescue attempt.

According to reports, the region has been battered by torrential rain for multiple consecutive days.

Following an autopsy, it was confirmed that the four children drowned and any suspicion of foul play was ruled out.

The local authorities held a press conference after the incident and plans are being drawn up to install fences, barriers, and warning signs in trouble spots in the area as well as employing security personnel.

The investigation is ongoing.
