Moment Flustered Chinese Driver Rams Unsuspecting Pedestrian
This is the moment a flustered Chinese driver rams a man entering a residential complex before crashing into a wall.
The incident was filmed in the Chinese megacity of Chongqing earlier this week, and the footage has been widely shared on the social network Douyin.
According to local media, the female driver, name not reported, got flustered behind the wheel and rammed a man as he entered the residential complex on foot.
Afterwards, the woman got out of her car, checked on the man, and sat on the ground in a state of shock.
Onlookers called the emergency services and the victim was taken to hospital where his condition is said to be stable.
At present, the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
In the CCTV footage, the man is seen entering the complex as the barrier is raised for a driver entering behind him.
He apparently checks his phone as he walks along the entrance before suddenly noticing something hurtling towards him.
The bonnet of a black car rams the man and sends him flying into the air before crashing into a wall.
Meanwhile, the man slides off the bonnet and lands hard on the tarmac.
However, as the video ends, the victim is seen moving and raising his head.
