NEAR MISS: Falling Chandelier Smashes Inches Away From Sitting Woman
This footage shows how a woman had a lucky escape after a chandelier fell from the ceiling and shattered just inches from where she was sitting.
Security camera footage shows how a woman is sitting at a table at her home in Fuzhou, Jiangxi province, East China on 20th August engrossed in her work with the window next to her open.
Wind appears to be blowing through the open window, causing the two chandeliers hanging from the ceiling to rock precariously.
Suddenly, the chandelier almost directly above the woman comes loose from the ceiling and falls to the table with a crash.
Glass shards are sent flying, while the woman appears to get the fright of her life.
Despite the chandelier smashing just inches from where she was sitting, the woman was luckily uninjured in the incident.
The woman later revealed that the chandelier fell from the ceiling after the screws holding it in place came loose.
Netizen ‘sweetheart’ commented: “So just buy the kind of light with the simplest style.”
While ‘Effort, only for a better tomorrow’ explained: “This kind of light is very heavy, and the cement on many floors is relatively loose, so lightly installed lights are reliable.”
‘Fragrant after rain’ also wrote: “Everyone should not buy this lamp in the future. It looks useless, and mine also fell off. Fortunately, we didn’t sit under the lamp, otherwise it would be terrible to think about.”
