Oregon Man Found Dead In Fridge With Skull Fractures As Three Arrested
Cops have arrested these three men in Oregon after they found a murdered man with skull fractures in a fridge after they allegedly robbed him.
The incident took place in the city of Medford, which is located in southern Oregon, on the western coast of the United States when cops said they responded to a call regarding a possible assault on 800 block on Royal Avenue at about 11.30am on Saturday morning (25th September).
Police said that the victim is 24-year-old Aaron Stitt and that he was found in the apartment located on the corner of Spring Street and Royal Avenue, according to NBC.
Police said a short while after the victim arrived at the apartment, a report was made citing use of a firearm and the potential assault and officers were dispatched to the scene.
Arriving officers noticed one of the suspects, named Brycen Scofield, 20, in the backyard and that he ran into the home upon seeing the police.
He came back outside after police officers managed to reach him by phone and was detained peacefully.
Police then searched the apartment and discovered the victim’s lifeless body stuffed inside a fridge.
Police officers had already established, they said, that the first suspect along with two other suspects, named as Dylan McLeod, 23, and Austin McLeod, 25, had invited Stitt to the apartment so that they could mug him.
The police are still investigating the incident but have so far said they believe that the victim was beaten to death with a blunt object such as a hammer or a spanner and they added that it looks like the suspect had attempted to clean up the crime scene.
All three suspects have been charged with second-degree murder, desecrating a corpse, first-degree robbery, and the unlawful use of a weapon.
All three suspects are reportedly firefighters.
The investigation is ongoing.
