This is the moment when cops arrest a sick dad and find images of him sexually abusing his own five-year-old daughter on his phone.

The arrest was carried out by cyber police in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, Ukraine, and was reported by the National Police of Ukraine on 13th July.

In police footage, the suspect is seen head down in his home as police find a mobile phone hidden under some papers.

As they scroll through the phone’s picture library, they can see what seem to be dozens of images and videos.

A woman standing in a doorway in the home is not identified in the footage.

Officials say the 55-year-old suspect is facing up to 12 years in jail for depraving a minor and possession of child pornography.

In a statement obtained by Newsflash, the National Police said: “In the course of operational activities, employees of the cyber police of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, together with police investigators of the Ivano-Frankivsk district police department, exposed a person involved in illegal activities.”

It went on: “A 55-year-old local resident committed illegal acts against his five-year-old daughter.

“With the participation of the child, the man created pornographic photo and video materials.

“During the search of the home of the perpetrator, law enforcement officers found computer equipment and a mobile phone, where eight video files with illegal content were stored.

“The conducted examinations confirmed the facts of production and storage of child pornography.

“The figure was declared a suspect under Part 2 of Art. 156 (Depravation of minors) and Part 1, 3 of Art. 301-1 (Obtaining access to child pornography, its acquisition, storage, importation, transportation or other movement, production, sale and distribution) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The suspect was remanded in custody. He faces up to 12 years in prison. Investigations are ongoing.
