Russian Cops Make Arrest Over Viral Clip Of Blogger Stuck To Side Of Sports Car Speeding At 180 Kph

The Russian influencer Danil Myasnikov who posted a video of himself taped to the side of a sports car speeding at 112mph has been arrested and jailed.

Danil Myasnikov hit the headlines after a video of him duct-taped to the side of a yellow Chevrolet Camaro speeding along a motorway at 112 mph in the city of Sochi in the south-western Russian region of Krasnodar Krai last Wednesday (1st September).

Danil posted the video on Instagram where he boasts a loyal army of 798,000 followers and it has been viewed 254,930 times since it was published.

Local news site RT reports that Danil Myasnikov, 27, has been arrested after cops saw the video he posted online.

He has reportedly been fined an undisclosed amount on charges relating to violating traffic rules and he is also expected to spend five days in police custody.

Local media reports Danil pleaded guilty to the charges and he has since come out and told his followers not to copy his reckless behaviour.

In the footage that went viral Danil is seen being strapped to the outside of the yellow Chevrolet Camaro with rope and duct tape.

A pal then gets behind the wheel of the American car and speeds along a motorway with the influencer enjoying the ride from outside the vehicle.

Friends are seen positioned at various points along the motorway to film the Camaro as it whizzes past.

Meanwhile, a camera inside the car shows the speedometer hitting 180kph before the team ends the challenge.

It is not clear if Danil’s pal who was also in the car at the time will be facing any charges for his role in the making of the video and it has not been reported when Danil will start serving the 5 days in custody.
