Russian Cops Shoot Out Tyres On Lada Driven By Drunk Driver

This is the moment a Russian drunk driver in a stolen Lada is caught by the police after they shot up the tyres on his vehicle in order to get him to stop.

While patrolling the streets at night in the town of Veliky Ustyug in the Russian federal subject of Vologda Oblast on 15th June, a traffic police squad noticed a car driving erratically.

After the 18-year-old unidentified motorist, driving a Lada VAZ-2107 ignored the police’s demand to stop, the police decided to chase him.

When it became clear that the reckless motorist was not going to stop, the police decided to use weapons. They reportedly fired several warning shots. Then one of the police officers aimed at the car, successfully deflating the front left and rear right tyres of the car.

When he was then forced to stop, the motorist tried to run away but was chased by the cops and arrested.

According to the news website Vesti 35’s report, it turned out that the car was already been looked for by police because it was stolen, and the young man who was not named was drunk.

The press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs Administration for the Vologda Oblast stated that a criminal case was opened against the motorist.
