The 24-year-old Portuguese trick-shot aficionado has amassed 2.4 million followers on TikTok, 15,200 on Instagram and hundreds of subscribers to his YouTube channel.

On his social media pages, he delights his followers with his slinky skills involving playing cards, ping pong balls and other household items.

He became inspired to perform trick shots after seeing other social media stars performing similar tricks online.

Joel’s ‘CEO of Persistence’ moniker is well earned; he told Newsflash each trick shot takes “on average two hours, but some of them can take up to days” to complete.

Joel works as a temperature technician, though his true passion is performing trick shots. He told Newsflash: “Every day I try to think of something different to do in the next challenges.”

As for the trolls in the comments section who claim his videos are faked, Joel told Newsflash: “All my videos are raw, non-edited. I just don’t care about hate, it helps with engagement.”

Joel currently only performs trick shots in his free time, though he told Newsflash: “My dream is to do this full-time and entertain people all over the globe.”

TikTok user ‘krisjack1973’ commented on one of his videos with 14,500 ‘likes’, “don’t give up on your dreams”, to which Joel replied, “never”.
