This is the creepy moment a passerby performs an impromptu exorcism on a ‘possessed’ woman in the middle of the street.
The spooky scene was filmed near a shopping centre on Alberdi Street in Salta in northern Argentina earlier this month (July).
According to local reports, the ‘possessed’ woman fell to the ground in the middle of the street and started shouting in a strange language.
As a crowd and police gathered around her, they seemed powerless to stop her howling and writhing in apparent torment.
But then a woman steps forward and begins an impromptu exorcism which seems to have been inspired by scenes from a horror movie.
First, she pulls the possessed woman up by her arms, then she starts repeating what seems to be a ritual to cast out a demon.
As she touches the woman’s forehead, she gestures with her right arm in a move that looks straight out of The Exorcist.
It is unclear what happened after the filmed events.
The footage has been widely shared on social media where netizens debated whether the incident was authentic or staged.
One sceptical comment included: “Leave the drugs alone.”
Another said: “That doesn’t look real.”
Other online users said: “How scary, I would die if I found myself in that situation.”
Another said: “The Devil is everywhere, but who performed the exorcism?”
