Tiny Seal Pup Found Alone On Russian Beach Is Saved
This is the moment Russian volunteers rescue a struggling tiny seal pup found alone on a beach and give it an injection before taking it away for treatment.
The apparently injured seal was found on the coast of Ussuri Bay in Peter the Great Gulf located in the far-eastern Russian region of Primorsky Krai, bordering with North Korea.
According to the news site Vesti, a group of passersby found the small seal struggling in the sand and did not take any action that could have led to further harm, instead opting to call in specialists.
Workers from the nearby Seal conservation centre arrived on the scene and took precautionary measures before driving the pup to a rehabilitation centre to undergo treatment.
In the footage, the seal is seen struggling in the sand before a volunteer arrives to apparently vaccinate it and give it fresh water.
The man is then seen scooping the cute pup into a towel and putting it in a crate in the back of his pickup truck ready to take it to the animal centre.
There have been no further updates on the little seal’s condition or what injuries it sustained.
Experts advise people to leave young seals found by the sea and not disturb them but in this case, it was simply too tired and too small and they decided to take it into care.
